5.0 out of 5 stars Extra copies a must!
By Mark Maslar (Cleveland Heights, Ohio)
Fiction couldn't be as funny as real life. This book offers a hilarious behind-the-scenes peek into the real world of modern medicine. Behind the seemingly ultra-professional facade, a lot of truly funny things happen.

There's bound to be a story or two in Jafee's book that you can't help but talk about. One of my favorites is about the couple who tried in vain to get pregnant for two years. Without giving too much away, let's just say that their situation finally turned around. I'd tell you more stories, but a guest picked up the book from our end table, started reading it & laughing out loud. She wound up taking it (the book, not the end table) home with her. Consider buying an extra copy!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Doctor is never home,
By A Customer

Recently I had the unique opportunity of not only reading "Sleeping with my Gynecologist" but also meeting the author. I found the book to be a great "coffee table read". It was quite a easy read with real down to earth humour. As my wife and I have gone through child birth 3 times (not including our own), I was easily able to relate to the stories told in the book. For everybody who has been involved with pregnancy/childbirth I highly recommend this unique perspective on the most trying times of your life. It is tremendously funny and will allow you to view pregnancy from a totally different perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and laughed more than I can remember!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Unique and Funny Perspective
By Lisa Lewis (Chicago, IL)
Jaffe's take on the subject is both entertaining and insightful. As a man (as well as the spouse of an OB/GYN), he brings a refreshing and very funny perspective to a subject usually only comfortably discussed by women and physicians. A great read, and a great gift for the skittish man in your life!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Doctor Is In (And So Is The Humor), April 2, 2000
By Scott Regan (Savannah, Georgia)

Marc Jaffe's sense of wit and wry humor make this a book that'll keep you laughing on the ninth and tenth read -- and believe me, you'll find yourself going back to these pages that many times. He has an amazingly deft touch at finding extraordinarily funny circumstances to everyday happenings. This is a must read for those whose funny bones can still be tickled -- and an absolute must read for those whose can't.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm ordering copies for my friends so they won't take mine!
By m hiepler (Eden Prairie, MN United States)
How many times do you read something that actually makes you laugh out loud? I found myself reading passage after passage to my husband, who was initially squeamish about the subject matter. He asked me if he could read it when I was done! If you knew him, you'd know that this is a very special book!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'll prescribe it for my patients,
By A Customer
I've often wondered if our patients have any clue what it's like being an OB/GYN. If they don't then this very funny book will give them some insight into the craziness. It had my husband and I in tears, we were laughing so hard. The middle of the night phone calls were my favorite. That could be a book in itself. All OB/GYNs should get this book and when you're done laughing, put it in your waiting room, or get one for each exam room, then your patients won't mind when you are running behind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Witty, breezy fun
By Terrence Mankwe "TM" (Century City, CA USA)

Having two children of my own, this was always recognizable and often hilarious. Not that you'll learn anything from this book, but it sure made listening to my kids' attempts at speech more humorous. A perfect gift for new moms and dads -- or anyone, really, who's ever had kids. Or knows kids.
